During the second semester, the UM International Office organized several activities for students that came to the Universidad de Montevideo. In August, over fifty international students spent a weekend in Solis, a seaside resort. They did trekking, they rode on horseback, canopying, and ate the typical Uruguayan “asado”. In August 12, they did a field trip to Colonia del Sacramento, a UNESCO World Heritage Centre.
In September, students enjoyed cooking typical Uruguayan food, in the Centro de formación profesional Del Plata They learned how to cook “chivitos” and “panqueques de Dulce de Leche”. On September 22 and 23, they build housed in the TECHO Volunteering Program.
