UM first in Uruguay according to QS

The UM ranked first in the country for academic and employer reputation, international faculty and student-faculty ratio

Keeping up with its excellent performances in the latest reports of the international consultancy Quacquarelly Symonds (QS) Rankings, the Universidad de Montevideo rose 100 positions in the 2018 World University Ranking remaining as the first University in Uruguay.

Having ranked among the top 100 young universities according to QS World Ranking "Under 50" in September, and in the 70th place in Latin America in the QS University Ranking Latin America in June 2016, the UM consolidates its international reputation.

QS World University Rankings evaluates academic reputation, employer reputation, citations per faculty, student to faculty ratio, proportion of faculty members that are international and proportion of students that are international.
