UM among the top 100 young universities according to QS World Ranking "Under 50"

QS World University Rankings ranked the Universidad de Montevideo 91st in the world and 5th in Latin America.

QS World University Ranking "Under 50" measures universities founded less than 50 years ago. Six Latin American universities are among the 100 best in the world: Austral University, University of Palermo, University of San Andrés, UNESP and Torcuato di Tella University. According to this ranking, the University of Montevideo occupies the 91th position in the world and 5th in Latin America.

This ranking shows a shift in the overall quality of the world higher education in which universities of Asia and Latin America are now present. Among the top six young universities, three universities are in Hong Kong, two in South Korea and the first place belongs to NTU in Singapore.
