In 2015, the Universidad de Montevideo began offering University of London degrees, where students from the School of Business Administration & Economics are awarded a Bachelor of Science in Banking and Finance, Business and Management or Economics and Management, in parallel to their UM degree. Whilst the awarding body is University of London, the London School of Economics and Political Science is responsible for the academic direction of these degrees.
UM students studying a BSc from University of London are assessed under the same academic standards as LSE students. University of London exams take place every year in May and all the course work and exam preparation is done with UM faculty members.
