Engineering

Engineering is the art of applying scientific and technical principles, experience, reasoning, and common sense to solve problems and develop innovations in benefit of the society.

The UM School of Engineering offers undergraduate and graduate courses taught both in Spanish and in English. The Engineering building is a 10-minute walk away from the main UM campus.

Undergraduate Degrees

The school of Engineering offers the following undergraduate degrees:

Civil Engineering more

The Civil Engineering major at the UM has a predominately generalist focus. During the first years it shares practically the same base as physics and mathematics with the other engineering majors.  From the third year onwards, it focuses in on specific subjects related to the civil engineering major.
