MBA Program graduate of IEEM gets second place at Robin Cosgrove Competition

Carlos Estapé Viana, a 31 year old recent graduate from the IEEM MBA Program recently took second place in the Robin Cosgrove Competition of the Iberoamerican Edition funded by the Swiss Institution of Finance.

The following work entitled, "A critical vision within the financial sector and the behavior of people. What does one do?" Carlos Estape Viana discovers just that, investigating the similarites between the financial realm and behavior of people. As a result of his research, he wins second place in this competition.

This award was funded by the Swiss Finance Foundation of Finance, an organization that promotes that there be respect in the financial sector ethically, which is targeted specifically for financial executives or business investors who are under 35 years old.

The Observatoire de la Finance stated the following in their column, "the main objective of winning the prize is to create and build an awareness within one's conscience and to also realize that ethical principales can be found in finances. This is applicable to many young executives throughout the world who are also looking to encourage the quality of banks and management. One can find within finances the following two values: confidence and intregity, which is found in the new emerging markets. This is a global vision and is applicable to all people within the world.

Since 1996, the Observatoire de la Finance, works to develop a relationship between the ethical values found within financial activities and how ethics are found in the business sector can have an impact on society. The Observatoire´s main objective is to establish and raise awareness which allows discovery within the common good of the financial sector and creates harmony within the business sector. Lastly, to raise awareness within the conscience of the organizations and individuals.
