    International Week is an annual event in school extracurricular education that promotes global citizenship. 27 to 29 March 2012, UM students and alumni learned about the academic world and scholarships offered by embassies and international organizations.

    The Global Supply Network and Manufacturing Culture in Latin America Program is a two week intensive course at the Universidad de Montevideo. UM students join international students for a unique international experience including joint projects, company site visits in Uruguay, and tourism.

    The Latin American Studies Institute offers programs at the undergraduate and graduate level. As an undergraduate, you can obtain a Certificate in Latin American Studies. The Master in Latin American Studies takes a comparative and interdisciplinary approach to offer a holistic vision of region.

A delegation of Master in Business Administration students from the University of Maryland visited the IEEM

From March 17-24, the IEEM hosted Dr. Kislaya Prasad, Director for the Center for International Business Education and Reseach (CIBER), and MBA students from the Robert H. Smith School of Business of the University of Maryland.

Professors and students from the University of Denver visited University of Montevideo

On March 21, 2012, a group of University of Denver professors and students visited the University of Montevideo. Jorge Sapelli gave a presentation on Uruguay both in the regional and global context as well as on the University of Montevideo.

Course on Latin American and Caribbean Philosophical Thought ends at UM

From February 27 through March 2, 2012, the University of Montevideo hosted a course on Latin American and Caribbean Philosophical Thought, given to Uruguayan university students.
